Making a Soldier Laugh

The weather was surprisingly warm. The wind provided a calm and comforting caress on Mikasa's pale skin and the heat of summer was just as refreshing. With a peaceful day such as this, she felt the need to loosen up.
Clad in the standard Survey Corps uniform, Mikasa took a deep breath and stretched her limbs. After all, stretching was fundamentally the base of any training. Although, she felt a presence drawing nearby and the sound of footsteps approached. Mikasa suppressed a gasp and tilted her head to see who it was.
"Oi, you're up early Mikasa. I thought for sure you would be sleeping in today," the figure shouted from a distance. Her voice was clear, yet slouchy. The individual emitted a tired yawn as she pointed lazily at the raven-haired rookie. "Why didn't you wake me up?"
Mikasa squinted her eyes under the harsh sunlight to distinguish the dim figure. "You're..."

A History Lesson of TicklingThere comes a time in every parent's life where they are asked to attend a meeting with stringent teachers in order to examine their offspring's progress at school, as well as their overall academic behavior. Yes, the dreaded parent-teacher conference - an elusive event that practically all children and parents dislike, but couldn't avoid to save their own flesh. Whereas they could have stayed at home to appease their amusement, they were stuck in an educational establishment, harking to teachers blathering about their son's and daughter's misconduct and poor grades in many occurrences. Seeing as the visit isn't mandatory, you'd come to expect that not many parents would be present.
Oddly enough, that wasn't the case for Randi, an unusual mother by the age of 26. As a contrast to other parents, the single mother enjoyed going to such events as it would acquire her opportunities to flirt with attractive men and flaunt her extremely envied figure. A Mother's Scolding (DBZ)In the midst of the afternoon, a young raven-haired fledgling had plans of absconding her house to rejoice with a group of friends around the same age. The fiery, semi-rebellious and independent child just so happened to be Pan - quarter Saiyan and offspring of Gohan and Videl, as well as the granddaughter of the legendary hero, Goku. The tomboyish girl bore a striking resemblance to her mother, Videl, but inherited her father's strength and determination. Although she may not have realized it yet, Pan was the descendant of an astounding lineage. One that will be carried out with her own antecedent children.
The innocent teen lightly tiptoed her way across the carpeted floor and peeked behind the corner of the narrow hallway. Pan recognized her mother's long braid by the living room. The husky woman was staring off into the distance as if she was waiting for something...or someone in particular. A Ticklish School Day"It's morning, sweetie! Up and at 'em!"
Kelly grunted and rolled to her side, shoving a pillow over her ears to mute her mother's calls - only for said person to promptly grab the soft cushion and throw it halfway across the room. Then, Kelly's bed sheet was forcefully seized and flung to the floor. A surging wave of cold air gushed over Kelly's half naked body and made her spring up in surprise.
"Wh-wha?! Mom! Why did you do that!" she shouted, frantically trying to cover her skin up. The teen's fresh cheeks flustered; she was in her bare underwear for crying out loud! In front of her mother no less!
"You don't want to be late for school and get a detention, do you? I'd be damned if I let any daughter of mine get a detention because they're sleepyheads. Now come on, breakfast is ready downstairs."

Long or Short Stories?

Up until now, I've always done stories with word counts that ranged from 2k to 4k - nothing too special. In most of them, I don't really include much backstory and I usually jump straight into the tickling. Don't get me wrong, I love the tickling and I know you do too, but I feel like it's getting a bit rushed and repetitive. Hence, I've thought of adding more 'action' and story into it and make it more interesting for viewers to read.

Would you guys prefer longer stories or would you like me to keep them as it is? If you prefer the first option, I could increase the amount of words to 10k+ and start from there, see how you guys like it.

Of course, there are many pros and cons for this. It'll take more time investment for me to start a 10k story from scratch, and I feel like you guys would prefer if I post more frequently. But, I'll leave that up for you to decide.

What's my goal here? I want to make my stories more entertaining for you guys and add a bit of re-read value. I feel like my viewers would like it if I added more content and not make it seem like they are half assed.
